How Would You Answer Why Not?

I had reached the last page of my guided journal, Burn After Writing, highly recommend for any beginning journalers.

The question was two simple words…Why Not?

These words prompted me to dream big and unapologetically. I’ve held myself back from dreaming big because of fear of judgment and being perceived as delusional. However, dreaming big is a big part of how I am the way I am today.

So this is me dreaming big:

​​Why not write my memoir?

Why not pursue the traditional publishing route so I can disrupt a patriarchal industry that’s in need of more BIPOC and female voices?

Why not explore more screenwriting opportunities and while I'm at it take those damn acting classes again and light up my inner 5 year old?

Why not move to Nashville for a few months before settling in L.A.?

Why not dream of spending a lifetime with my partner as much as that makes me nauseous to admit because of ✨complex trauma✨?

Why not believe in myself and why not share it with the world?

Because to be witnessed for stepping into my dreams every day is hoping you do the same.

So why not?

Why not be a vocal dreamer?

I’m the woman who says I’m going to follow my fire even if it’s messy, even if I fall, even if I don’t know where I’ll go…and I will show you all of it...because if it's one thing I know how to do is to rise.

Every 👏🏽 damn👏🏽time.

No one has ever reached for the moon on a linear path...and let’s be honest...without tears...

But it’s extraordinary to watch, isn’t it?

This is what it’s like to work with me. Before I begin coaching clients to write I have them dream big with me. I give them permission to envision their future self as published authors.

I will give you permission to dream forward and unapologetically answer the question Why Not?
