What students are saying….

When we hosted you at our workshop back in October, we did an exercise where we wrote an email to our future selves about our dream lives and the steps that we can take to manifest them. I remember writing in mind that I was going to be working at Gucci doing something in the realm of business in a creative space. And lo and behold, a few months later, I got my acceptance into my dream program with Gucci! it was everything I had ever dreamed of, and I stumbled upon my letter that we had done at our workshop a few days ago, just thinking about how crazy it was that I was able to visualize my dreams. I think writing all of those manifestations down more eager to work towards that goal and that’s why I was so adamant about doing outreach for the program and doing anything I could to be accepted!

-Melina Zarboulas, Student at University of Wisconsin Madison

“Mary Kethya Khuon this was one of the most inspiring and influential speeches I have heard. Thank you for teaching us about how to not only how to identify our dreams, but how to manifest them into a reality, while building our emotional resiliency. I will continue to grow these ideations because this is a workshop I will never forget!”

-Marlo Pulliam, Student at University of Wisconsin Madison

“I had such a great experience during this presentation. Although it was centered around fostering emotional resiliency in the workplace, I think what I learned is truly applicable to all aspects of my life, and I’m so excited to put what I learned to use!”

-Adele Hoinacki, Student at University of Wisconsin Madison

“Mary’s workshop helped me understand that I am exactly where I need to be in my educational and professional pathway. The exercises she provided gave me an idea of how I’m able to regulate my emotions in many different environments on a regular basis.”

-Charlie Durochik, Student at University of Wisconsin Madison

“I really liked the "Write and Release" experience. Most notably, I felt empowered after the "creating my future self" writing activity. It was inspiring to hear about how these feelings of inspiration will be greater than any fear I might have of achieving my dreams. It helped me a lot after Mary said that journaling is a place free of judgment. It helped me fully express my feelings, without any other worries.”

This workshop truly was what helped this program, Reclaim Your Story, click into place with psychodynamic theory into internal family systems. The program has been focused on expressive arts therapy, and there is an unspoken psychodynamic framework to support the methodology, and it was incredibly helpful to name the different parts that are important to name in the creative and healing process.

-Vanessa De Leon, LCPC, BC-DMT, Founder of Self-Reclaimed Support Group for SA/DV survivors

Through the personal reflections and planning activities are real and relevant to students. The interactive nature of the writing activities was engaging, helpful, and fun.
