Dare To Rise
It is braver to love yourself than it is to hate on others.
This is the trauma writing process.
To explore your story with truth.
To write about hard things: abuse, betrayal, and pain from a place of self-acceptance and self-compassion rather than contempt.
To understand that no person can truly hurt you unless you let them.
To be brave enough to write these stories and remove contempt and the desire for vengeance.
Trauma writing is advocacy.
It’s daring to advocate for your story in the way you experienced it.
It’s being the gatekeeper of your truth despite the formulated perception of others.
Writing your story is for you.
To process grief for the first time from a place of safety.
What’s greater than the fear of writing your story is your willingness to dare
Dare to write.
Dare to advocate.
Dare to Rise.
Sincerely,
Mary
