Never Did I Think This TikTok Video Would Go Viral

This always happens to me...when I least expect it.

I recorded a video speaking my truths about discovering I had dissociated most of my life via neurofeedback, and of course, it went viral on TikTok.

In 24 hours, I had over 30,000 views and hundreds of people commenting on my video, sharing their similar experiences of dissociating and sending me love for being real and vulnerable. You can watch it here.

A tiny community was created in this single 60-second video of people coming together and seeing, hearing, and validating one another.

It was beautiful to witness a positive part of social media we don’t talk about enough.

There is a way to bring strangers together online, cheering each other on as we all continue to heal our way forward to the journey of life.

I’ve had a lot of practice being vulnerable with the world and understand both sides of not wanting to be seen Vs. being fully seen for all I am.

Being anonymous on Instagram, once upon a time, was freeing for me on so many levels.

I could say whatever I wanted and not be afraid of being judged because I didn’t give anyone a chance. There was bliss in being hidden – a chapter I’ll cherish in my life.

And when I finally revealed my identity, I was shockingly met with warm welcomes from people who felt connected with my truth-telling movement.

People from high school, college, and that one cousin I never spoke to reached out to say thank you for being you.

Being 2 different versions of me for over a year became exhausting, mostly because hiding your true authentic self takes energy…and I was ready to be free, which meant finally being seen.

And what happened next in the following years of consistently showing up online as myself was witnessing the social impact I made on others and continued to do so as I’ve reached over 30,000 souls on all social media platforms.

If I never risked being seen, I would never get to witness the way I’ve touched the lives of others.

Publishing your story into the world opens you up to opportunities to receive love and belonging from your community.

People want to see a face.

A human.

A story they can connect with.

This can only happen when you put yourself out there and attract your dream reader.

Because soon enough, these very people you interact with online may be the same people rushing to the bookstore to buy your memoir or standing hours in line for your meet & greet.

If you can envision this with your eyes closed, it's because this moment is real, and the universe is waiting for you to step into your dreams of becoming a best-selling author changing the world with your unshakeable truths.

You just have to take a leap of faith and risk being seen so you can receive the warm welcome of your dream readers.

And I’m here to walk with you on this journey of writing your memoir and positioning yourself as an author, thought leader, and connector.

An author who is ready to connect the dots of their story, bring it to life, and change lives.

I’d be honored to guide you through this journey into being seen for all that you are.

Memoir Momentum is a 90-minute intensive, where I help you write your first chapter, get confident with your writing process, and help you lay the groundwork for your book with this proven framework I've used with my memoir clients.

You will leave this session with a kickstart on your memoir and the confidence to begin sharing it with the world.
