How To Stop Letting Fear Hold You Back From Writing Your Story
Did you know 80% of people in the world want to be writers but are too afraid to write their stories?
I can’t imagine how many untold stories, novels, and memoirs there are in the world because of the one feeling holding people back...fear.
We fear what people think of us.
We fear being criticized.
We fear hurting others.
We fear to the point of paralysis that it becomes the number one block to begin writing our stories.
Why do we let fear win over our creative freedom to use our voice?
It’s because we hate feeling unsafe more than we love feeling peace, joy, and freedom.
Unsafetiness is a feeling that makes us feel invisible, small, and defensive...it triggers us to have our guard up and unknowingly let it block our creative flow.
So how do we stop letting fear getting in the way of using our voice?
We cultivate safety within by making our hearts the anchor.
When we can create a safe haven within our hearts we can withstand any storm of judgment and criticism that comes our way from writing and sharing our stories.
The trick is not to stop the fear from coming in, it’s to allow it, and write anyways.
You build a trusting relationship with yourself through writing so you never let fear take over the driver's seat and stop you from writing your story.
Part of becoming a writer is believing in the following:
You deserve to use your voice.
You deserve to be here.
You deserve to write the roadmap of your life and share it with the world.
Sincerely,
Mary
