You Are Exactly Where You Need To Be On Your Healing Journey
“There’s nothing in life to master.”
These profound words were spoken by life coach, dear friend, and fellow co-lead in this week’s Transform Your Trauma Writing Mastermind class.
In this workshop, we talked about the resistance of uncomfortable emotions blocking us from writing about challenging things in our lives.
“What will they think of me?”
“What if I hurt them?”
“What if I disappoint them?”
“I hate the feeling of judgment, so I prepare for it.”
Do these thoughts sound familiar to you?
We beat ourselves up for what blocks us when we simply allow every feeling of the human experience into our lives.
It’s okay to feel defensive when you have been betrayed.
It’s okay to fear the opinions of others if you have been harshly criticized.
It’s okay to be held back by certain aspects of writing your story if you still process what happened.
The way we feel as we navigate through life is allowed.
As Stephanie says, there’s nothing in life to master. Stephanie encouraged us to let go of obligation and expectations from living our lives.
This means the following:
Stop telling yourself you need to heal faster.
Stop telling yourself you need to be doing more.
Stop shaming yourself for having moments of insecurities.
Everything is allowed in the human experience, even messy feelings and experiences, because you are exactly where you need to be at the end of the day.
As long as you have yourself, you can handle anything that comes your way.
