My First Soul Retrieval Session Was Exactly What I Needed
“After you leave this session, I want you to have a happy life,” said the Shaman during my first soul retrieval session.
I felt my heart ping open as if it was speaking to my brain, did you hear him?
This is why you’re here.
This is the result of healing trauma.
The freedom to happiness.
The freedom to truly move forward in your life no longer carrying burdens from the past.
This is why you’re here.
The session lasted for over 2 hours as he went over my declining physical health. I was severely deficient in nutrients and the past few months have been a game of telephone between doctors and holistic health practitioners.
My body has taken an impact from my lifetime of reliving trauma in the body and then healing from it last year.
Healing has felt endless and dark like it was always a battle to find joy through everything I have been through in my life.
I found myself questioning if I could ever be present enough to truly feel happy in my body and maintain it long enough where I can believe I can reach it anywhere and anytime.
And that’s what lead me here, in this Shaman’s healing session. A modality I had yet to touch but knew was part of my healing journey.
I can’t go into the full details of what happened during the session. You’ll have to read my memoir for that.
But I will say, I left this session feeling whole again, fully aware of my power to choose joy, and simply put by Misterwives decide to be happy.
If you have experienced trauma, abuse, betrayal, and heartbreak, I hope you understand the result of choosing to heal this pain.
It’s the freedom to happiness.
And happiness doesn’t mean the absence of our painful experiences, it means we prevailed from the challenges we faced in our lifetimes and at times in the hands of those who didn’t wish us well.
Happiness is the conscious choice to move through life with fearless love for every part of us, especially the past parts that still live within us.
So, I hope you remember the result of choosing to heal.
To lively freely and surrender to the abundance of happiness all around us.
Writing your memoir is a healing process.
You connect the dots of the past and one by one you heal each wound.
It means being brave enough to feel those emotions that seep into our body as we encounter an old memory that made us feel less than.
We feel it all the way through to our bones, up and down our spine, allow it to pulsate in and out of us until we breathe out redemption and we remember we were always the author of our lives, and no one can take our power away.
The act of sharing your story is a healing movement to be witnessed.
Because adding more truths into the world sheds light on the nuance of the human experience.
This is how we build a more compassionate world.
This is how we cancel shame.
This is how we are free.
