Why Your Story is Extraordinary
Many people tell me they want to write their stories, but they don’t believe their stories are interesting enough, good enough, challenging enough, ect..
I know my personal story of writing my way out of an abusive relationship and into healing generational trauma may seem wild (because it is), but here’s the truth:
We can’t compare our stories with one another.
We can’t invalidate our experiences because someone had it worse.
Experiences happen in our minds, which means the emotional truth of our experiences is always valid.
Because the journey of becoming who you are is extraordinary.
I know if you’re here, you have a fire inside you to write your story of how you got to be the person you are today.
This is me giving you a permission slip to write it.
If you don’t believe your story is good enough, then I want you to imagine the past version of yourself who needed the most hope.
This version of you meets the healing you for the first time, and they want to know how you became the person you are today.
They want to know the details of you rising from your stumbles, falls, and messy parts of life.
They want to know how you made it through because they are looking for hope on their journey.
Write for the younger version of you who needed guidance because, in reality, many young versions of you exist right now in the universe, looking for someone they can relate to, someone who shares a similar story.
They want to read the roadmap to how you became the person you are today.
I want to challenge you to believe your story matters and deserves to be written down.
Your journey of healing is extraordinary.
Your story deserves to be told.
The roadmap of who you are is someone’s survival guide.
Sincerely,
Mary
